Sheila Warren, Director

As the director of NGOsource for TechSoup Global, Sheila Warren leads the design, planning, operations, and growth of this new equivalency determination service. She also provides guidance on international philanthropy law, oversees the equivalency determination review team, and educates the philanthropic community about the requirements of international grantmaking.

Ms. Warren is an attorney who has counseled hundreds of charitable organizations in the areas of tax and corporate law with Adler & Colvin and in private practice. She graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School. She has served as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University Law School, teaching a course on tax-exempt organizations.

Ms. Warren has authored several publications on tax-exempt organizations and regularly lectures on the topics of international philanthropy and grantmaking. She is active in the local and national philanthropic communities, serving on several nonprofit boards, offering pro bono legal counsel, and volunteering her time to various social causes.

Danish Saleem, Product Manager

Danish Saleem is TechSoup Global's product manager for NGOsource. In this role, he oversees the development of NGOsource with a focus on implementing features that maximize the benefits to grantmakers, NGOs, and the broader philanthropic community.

Danish brings deep technical expertise, cross-functional project management skills, and a commitment to the nonprofit sector. Most recently, he worked at the United Way Silicon Valley as an IT project manager.

John Harvey

John Harvey brings more than 20 years of experience in international grantmaking to his position of managing director for global philanthropy at the Council on Foundations.

Prior to joining the Council, John served for 10 years as founding executive director of Grantmakers Without Borders, a funder affinity group whose members fund development and human rights work in the global south. John is co-founder of New England International Donors, whose aim is to increase the quantity and quality of global giving originating from New England.

John's global perspective has been nurtured by extensive travel throughout Europe and the global south, including a year volunteering in India. Recently, he also spent five months in Africa exploring the philanthropic sector.
